Acoustic Guitar - Music by Charles Flowers

My visit to Spain in 2009 was a profound and unexpected experience. Traveling around Spain I felt a sense of the history, the passion for life, for the food and the music! I felt a passion released in me; a passion  I have had for many years for acoustic guitar music, but had never really pursued.  With the encouragement from my wonderful wife, Mary, I have embarked on a new journey of discovery !  If anyone asks where I am , I will be traveling the  El Camino a Ávila. (The Road to Avila)

The guitar I am playing most in these recordings is one  I  had in 1968 from the Guitar and Banjo Studio. At this time Alton Tew , Jim Laboue and myself  were just getting the Guitar and Banjo Studio in Beaumont, Texas off the ground.  I guess that makes this instrument more than 40 years old!   Wow! I have been playing this guitar for 40 years!

Song For Caylena

Song for Caylena (Canción para Calena) written by Charles Flowers - This is a guitar duet instrumental with two tracks.  I played both tracks using the Yamaha Classic from the Guitar and Banjo Studio. This recording is not professionally done. Its just me, my guitar, my computer and Mixcraft sound software and an old computer microphone.

Una Noche Mas

Una Noche Mas - Written by Charles Flowers

I got my inspiration for this piece of music while walking  with my  wife,  Mary, in  Valencia Spain. The night was cool with a nice soft breeze, full moon and  scattered clouds.  The only instrument is my guitar, a computer, mic and Mixcraft sound software.  This particular recording is rather long but it was a test for the precussion.  Song will eventually run about 3 1/2 minutes when finished.
